The pump station site can be accessed through a locked and gated access point along a gravel packed road off of Route 62 in North Reading - (road located at 117 Elm Street, North Reading), leading to a bridge across the Ipswich River to the Lynnfield side of the river. The official weight capacity of the bridge is unknown; however, it is regularly used by the LWSC to access the site with maintenance vehicles. The heaviest vehicle known to have crossed the bridge recently had an estimated total weight of approximately 26,000 pounds. All vehicles/loads to access the site via the existing bridge must have a total gross vehicle weight of less than 26,000 pounds. Coordinate with the Owner prior to accessing the site. The project included, but is not limited to, the replacement of existing horizontal split case pumps and associated electric motors, isolation of the pump station from the Ipswich River, dewatering & cleaning of the wet well to allow for the work to be executed and for the inspection by other of the wet well: modification to suction piping of each pump referenced above: modification to existing vacuum priming system by replacement of existing vacuum priming system piping; furnish & install new priming water pump system & associated piping; coordination with Owner & Engineer and all other work as shown on the drawings & specified.
