The shear wave velocity profile was measured within the property on April 2, 2025. The study was completed to provide input parameters for use in evaluating the post-earthquake liquefaction performance of the soils that underlie the fire station site. AESI employed two geophysical techniques: Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW) and Microtremor Array Measurements (MAM). Combined, these methods give us a comprehensive look at the shear wave velocity profile of the upper 100 feet. The soundings were performed using a Geometrics 24-channel Geode seismograph with 4.5Hz geophones.
