Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Pacific, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This project consists of: Miscellaneous minor street improvements, new road crossing, HMA grind and overlay, sidewalk & ramp improvements, coordination with WSDOT and the UPRR Railroad. The City intends to select the best qualified engineering consultant or consultant team for this work by January 29, 2025; construction is planned for 2025. Please submit qualifications demonstrating your firm's ability to perform this work outlined in the RFQ. Each proposal will be reviewed and evaluated by personnel from the City of Pacific and the preferred candidate will be offered a contract for design services. Selection of the best candidate(s) will be based upon a point rating system to evaluate the following items: Key personnel; Firm knowledge of design, environmental regulations and procedures; Demonstrate a successful working relationship with permit agencies at the local, state, and federal levels; Firm experience with WSDOT and Railroad coordination, and TIB grant funding; Availability to begin work; Experience in the greater Auburn/Sumner valley area; Past performance/references. The ability to communicate complex design concepts clearly to individuals without a design or construction background is essential.
