Site work and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Louisville, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

**As of March 31, 2026, project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The City of Louisville ("the City") is soliciting bids from qualified vendors and contractors ("Respondents") to assist City staff with Playground Replacements at Memory Square Park and the Louisville Recreation & Senior Center through an integrated project delivery (design/build) agreement. The projects will be handled as two separate awards, with potential to select either one or two companies based on the outlined selection process. Question Deadline 02/02/2026 at 1:00 PM MT Prospective submitters may make written inquiries by email Bryon Weber Project Manager | Parks, Recreation & Open Space bweber@louisvilleco.gov Memory Square Park, two blocks west of Main Street in Downtown Louisville, is an existing multi-use park and playground adjacent to the city-owned Memory Square outdoor pool. The park is popular with residents given its central location and significant number of mature trees which offer shade in the warmer months. The current play structures were installed around 2005 and are reaching end of life. The existing features include: two swing bays, a large composite structure with portions for ages 2-5 and 5-12, a smaller composite structure for ages 5-12 and a designated sand play area. The desired approach is to maintain the sand play area and all existing concrete curb walls while removing and replacing existing equipment and safety surfacing (EWF). We're open to reusing the existing swing bays, if recommended. The intent of the Request for Proposal is to solicit conceptual designs for new play equipment that can fit within the existing playground curb wall and meet an identified budget of $275,000. As outlined below, input from staff and public will be used to select one design proposal as the award recommendation to City Council. To keep the playground open during summer months and scheduled public events, the ideal construction completion timeframe is after school returns to session in mid-August but before year-end 2026. The City of Louisville is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
