The requirement is for a two-year contract for the lease and regular replacement of components of Portable Deionization (PDI) systems at the Southerly Wastewater Treatment Center (SWWTC) Renewable Energy Facility (REF) and Grease Unloading Station (GUS). The contract is intended to provide high purity, turbine-quality water to the fluidized bed incinerator/waste heat boiler unit at the REF, which is essential for generating high-quality steam to drive the turbine and ensure biosolids processing requirements are met without plant process shutdowns. The contract also covers high purity water delivery to the common steam system of the GUS and Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF) buildings to support the grease and skimmings handling process, which is crucial for heating and transferring materials from GUS/DAF to REF for incineration and preventing solids recirculation within the plant. The Contractor is responsible for delivery, installation, and maintenance of all tanks, hoses, and conductivity lights downstream of the skid inlet control valve and upstream of the skid outlet isolation valve of the purification system.
