Replacement for Varsity Gym Floor for Appalachian State University PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND SCOPE OF WORK SPECIFICATIONS The specific items and any specifications that the Purchasing Agency is seeking are listed below. Items offered by the Vendor must meet or exceed the listed Specifications to be considered for award. Job Specifications and estimates for labor, material and sales tax to replace the Wood Athletic Floor in the Varsity Gymnasium At App State University shall be submitted as follows: Awarded contractor is required to: 1. Disconnect, work around, and re-connect bleachers. 2. Remove and dispose of both layers of existing flooring and subflooring, down to original concrete concrete. 3. Patch Concrete with self leveling Ardex, as necessary, from demolition of existing floors. 4. Install new ScissorLoc II subfloor system consisting of 15mil plastic, 1/4 " foam, and 2 layers of 1"x6" boards 5. Install new 2 1/4 " X 25/32" 2nd and better grade, MFMA stamped, northern hard maple flooring. 6. Sand entire floor with (3) three cuts; course, medium, and fine to ensure a smooth and flat surface. 7. Apply (3) three coats of water-based gym floor sealer. 8. Measure, tape, and paint all game lines, same as existing (customer to choose colors). 9. Apply (2) two coats of 52% solids, two component water-based gym floor finish. 10. Install new 3"X 4" vented cove base, 6" aluminum thresholds, and volleyball (pickleball) cover plates. Note: o All Material and Labor to be furnished complete with the above specifications. o All suspected areas of concern for possible asbestos-containing material (ACM) have been tested and the results from this testing are negative and can be furnished upon request. o We do not have the ability or time to do any additional destructive investigation. We will need the bidders to anticipate possible unknowns and plan accordingly. We realize this is not ideal but we are unable to close the gym during the school year.
