Sealed bids are requested for furnishing all required materials, equipment, tools, and labor to perform all necessary work for Sewer Maintenance Project 2018 (Project WW0316). The project includes the trenchless installation of approximately 45,000 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer and appurtenances, and the open-cut installation of approximately 600 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer and appurtenances. Bidders are expected to inspect the site and inform themselves regarding all local conditions. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the bidder, their address, and the name of the project. All blank spaces for bid prices must be filled in, in ink or typewritten, and in both words and figures. A cashier's check, certified check, or surety bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany each proposal. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to cancel all or any portion of the project within sixty (60) days from bid opening. NUA is exempt from sales or use taxes, and direct vendors to NUA are also exempt from those taxes. Bidders and their subcontractors may exclude sales taxes on appropriate equipment, materials, and supplies purchased by the NUA through the bidder. The CONTRACTOR shall commence said work within ten (10) calendar days following receipt of a NOTICETO-PROCEED, prosecute the same vigorously and continuously, and complete the same within 365 calendar days following receipt of NOTICE-TO-PROCEED.
