Sealed bids are invited from qualified and licensed contractors to complete renovations at 906 Maxwell Street, Florence, SC, according to the specifications provided. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the bid number and project title and delivered to the specified address. Electronic or emailed bids will not be accepted. All bids must comply with Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grant requirements and are subject to state and federal rules, including those related to Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation. The City of Florence reserves the right to engage in discussions for clarification, reject any and all responses, and make awards deemed in the City's best interest. Contractors must comply with equal opportunity employment requirements, including goals for minority participation of 16% and female participation of 6.9% in each trade. These requirements apply to all federally and non-federally involved construction work performed in the covered area and must be included in all subcontracts exceeding $10,000. The deadline for the submission of all inquiries is February 2, 2025 at 5:00 pm. Questions concerning this invitation to bid should be directed to the City Purchasing Agent, Lynwood F.
