The work to be completed consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the complete installation of 585 linear feet of new 10-inch HDPE force main installed via horizontal directional drill, 1,470 linear feet of new 8-inch force main, four new air release valves with access manholes, and one drop/doghouse manhole. All bids must be sealed and clearly marked with the bid name/number. Bidders are required to register with Duncan Parnell to obtain the bid documents and be added to the official Plan Holder's List. Bidders must be an official plan holder and on the projects plan holders list for their bid to be considered. Bids must include a bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond equal to not less than five percent of the bid amount. A one hundred percent payment bond and performance bond will be required. The contractor must provide fire, extended coverage, vandalism, and malicious mischief insurance equal to the actual value of the insured property during construction. Bidders must be legally qualified under the South Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law and have a classification of WL. No bid may be withdrawn within 90 days after the bid opening. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
