Defence Construction Canada is inviting contractors and suppliers to apply to be placed on an Open Construction Source List for commercial, residential, industrial, institutional, and civil work required by the Department of National Defence at 9 Wing Gander and other locations including but not limited to CFS St. John's, Stephenville, Corner Brook, and Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland and Labrador. The source list will be used to tender construction services with an estimated value of $10 million and below. Contractors and suppliers must submit a request through MERX and indicate their preferred official language. Those previously on the source list must re-apply. Invitations to bid will be issued to those on the list as opportunities arise, and bids must be submitted electronically through MERX. Contractors may be required to attend site meetings and must have an active MERX account. DCC may require additional pre-qualification, reserve some tenders for Indigenous businesses, and set performance standards. Contracts are subject to DCC's Procurement Code of Conduct and may include security requirements. DCC may verify, remove, or request information from applicants at its discretion. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
