Defence Construction Canada is inviting contractors and suppliers to apply to be placed on an Open Construction Source List for commercial, residential, industrial, institutional, and civil work required by the Department of National Defence at CDSB Gagetown (including its satellite sites in New Brunswick) and at sites in Prince Edward Island. The list will be used to tender construction services with an estimated value of $10 million and below. Contractors and suppliers must submit a request through MERX and indicate their preferred official language. All bidding and tender processes will be electronic through MERX, and only those on the list will be invited to bid as opportunities arise. DCC reserves the right to set aside tenders for Indigenous businesses and include requirements for Indigenous Benefits Plans. Contracts include performance standards, security requirements may apply, and DCC follows its Procurement Code of Conduct and standard contract documents. DCC also reserves the right to require further pre-qualification for specific tenders and to remove firms from the list for non-performance or ineligibility status as determined by Public Services and Procurement Canada. Tenders and contracts may be subject to security clearance requirements and to trade agreements to which Canada is a party. Pre-qualification requirements: Contractors and suppliers must submit an application through MERX, select their official language, have an active MERX account, and may be required to meet security clearance requirements as specified per opportunity. Additional pre-qualification requirements may be set for specific tenders. Indigenous businesses must be registered in Indigenous Services Canada’s Indigenous Business Directory for set-aside contracts.
