Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in New Hampton, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The work includes approximately 2,330 square yards of PCC pavement removal and 75 linear feet of curb and gutter removal, 400 cubic yards of excavation requiring export, installation of 160 linear feet of 6-inch subdrain, 22.46 cubic yards of combined parking lot with retaining wall, 25 square feet of concrete steps, 129 linear feet of handrail, 29 square yards of 5-inch Portland Cement Concrete sidewalk, 422 linear feet of 24-inch curb and gutter, 157 square yards of 6-inch PCC pavement, and 2,125 square yards of 6-inch PCC pavement (base bid) or Hot Mix Asphalt pavement (bid alternative) for the parking lot. The project also includes sediment and erosion control devices, temporary traffic control, pavement markings and symbols, and permanent signs. The project consists of reconstructing the parking lot at the northwest corner of East Spring Street and South Locust Avenue. The existing retaining wall accommodating grade change along the northern edge of the parking lot will also be replaced with a SUDAS "Combined Retaining Wall - Sidewalk". A. CONTRACTOR shall provide all items, articles, materials, operations or methods mentioned or scheduled on the Drawings or herein specified: including all labor, supervision, equipment, incidentals, taxes, and permits necessary to complete the Work as described within the Contract Documents. CONTRACTOR shall install all items provided by OWNER as mentioned or scheduled on the Drawings or herein specified. A. Work Included: Measurement and Payment-Unit Prices. A. Work Included: 1. Coordination. 2. Field Engineering. 3. Progress Meetings. Work Included: 1. Whenever possible throughout the Contract Documents, the minimum acceptable quality of workmanship and materials has been defined either by manufacturer's name and catalog number or by reference to recognized industry standards. 2. To facilitate CONTRACTOR's understanding of the design intent, procedures have been established for advance submittal of design data and for its review or rejection by ENGINEER. 3. The type of submittal requirements specified in this section include construction progress schedule, submittal schedule, shop drawings, product data, samples, maintenance manuals, and other miscellaneous work-related submittals. Work Included: 1. OSHA Requirements. 2. Roadway Limits. 3. Permits. 4. Wage Rates. Work Included: 1. Reference Standards: a. Throughout the Contract Documents, reference is made to codes and standards which establish qualities and types of workmanship and materials, and which establish methods for workmanship and materials, and which establish methods for testing and reporting on the pertinent characteristics. b. Where materials or workmanship are required by these Contract Documents to meet or exceed the specifically named code or standard, it is CONTRACTOR's responsibility to provide materials and workmanship which meet or exceed that specifically named code or standard. c. It is also CONTRACTOR's responsibility, when so required by the Contract Documents, to deliver to ENGINEER all required proof that the material or workmanship, or both, meet or exceed the requirements of the specifically named code or standard. Work Includes: 1. Quality Assurance-Control of Installation. 2. Tolerances. 3. Manufacturers' Field Services and Reports. Work Included: 1. Temporary Utilities. 2. Temporary Support Facilities. 3. Removal of Temporary Facilities Work Included: 1. Materials, Equipment, and Furnishings. 2. Construction. 3. Environmental Control. 4. CONTRACTOR Office and Facilities. 5. Storage Areas and Sheds. 6. Preparation. 7. Installation. 8. Maintenance and Cleaning. 9. Removal. Work Included: 1. Dust Control. 2. Water, Erosion, and Sediment Control. 3. Noise Control. 4. Traffic Control. 5. Site Security. 6. Daily Cleanup. Work Included: CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for the delivery, handling, storage and protection of all material and equipment required to complete the Work as specified herein. Work Included: 1. Closeout Procedures. 2. Final Cleaning. 3. Adjusting. 4. Project Record Documents. 5. Warranties. 6. Warranty Bond.
