Tooele County Parks and Recreation is soliciting bids from qualified vendors for the design, fabrication, delivery, and installation of a custom walk-in combination refrigerator/freezer unit, or a commercially available unit that meets the specifications contained in the RFP and Attachment A: Scope of Work. The unit will be used for commercial food storage and must meet all applicable health, safety, and building code requirements. The unit will be used for commercial food storage and must meet all applicable health, safety, and building code requirements Question Deadline 02/01/2026 at 11:30 PM MT Online Portal The project consists of one (1) combined walk-in unit configured as approximately: o 70% freezer o 30% refrigerator The refrigerator and freezer compartments shall be fully separated, each with its own access door. 3. Space and Dimensional Requirements The completed walk-in unit must fit within the following maximum available space: o Width: 13 feet 4 inches (13'-4") o Depth: 8 feet 0 inches (8'-0") o Height: Vendor to propose standard height compatible with site conditions Vendors are responsible for verifying all field dimensions prior to fabrication. No deviation from maximum footprint dimensions will be accepted without prior written approval. 4. Construction Requirements o Walk-in panels shall be commercial-grade insulated panels suitable for freezer and refrigerator applications. o Exterior finish: Stainless steel on all exterior-facing surfaces. o Interior finish shall be food-safe, non-corrosive, and compliant with local health department requirements. o Panels shall include appropriate vapor barriers and insulation values suitable for freezer operation. 5. Compartment Configuration o The unit shall be divided internally into: o One (1) Freezer compartment (~70% of total interior space) o One (1) Refrigerator compartment (~30% of total interior space) o Compartments must be fully sealed from one another. 6. Doors o Two (2) total doors, consisting of: o One (1) freezer door o One (1) refrigerator door o Doors shall be: o Self-closing o Equipped with safety release mechanisms o Insulated and gasketed for energy efficiency o Door swing direction(s) to be coordinated with Owner prior to installation. 7. Refrigeration System o Condenser units shall be top-mounted. o Separate refrigeration systems for freezer and refrigerator are preferred unless otherwise approved. o Systems must be: o Energy-efficient o Appropriately sized for the compartment volumes o Rated for continuous commercial operation o Refrigerants must comply with all current EPA and environmental regulations. 8. Electrical Requirements o Vendor shall provide complete electrical specifications with the bid. o Electrical connection point to be coordinated with Owner. o All equipment must comply with applicable electrical codes. 9. Installation Vendor shall provide delivery and complete installation, including: o Assembly of panels o Installation of refrigeration systems o Startup and operational testing o Installation/wiring of any necessary electrical outlets/connections o Installation must be performed by qualified technicians and is subject to inspection by Tooele County before acceptance and contract completion. 10. Codes and Standards All equipment and installation shall comply with: o Local and state building codes o Health department requirements o NSF, UL, and/or ETL standards as applicable o OSHA safety requirements 11. Submittals Bids must include: o Detailed specifications and cut sheets o Shop drawings showing layout and dimensions o Electrical requirements o Warranty information o Lead time for fabrication and installation o Itemized pricing
