The Facilities Engineering Division oversees capital improvement projects at over 30 City facilities, including administrative offices, public safety buildings, recreation centers, and libraries. Reliable geotechnical, engineering, and special inspection services are required to address risk reduction, control cost and schedule, and ensure safe, code-compliant construction throughout the life of a project. Proposers must propose on the complete work scope as defined. Instructions to bidders: The proposer, in compliance with the City’s Request for Proposals, agrees to perform all work in strict accordance with the RFP and contract documents. The proposer certifies that no employee or related member has discussed the RFP with any member of the City outside the Procurement Office unless permitted in writing. Proposers must furnish all supervision, technical personnel, labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and services to perform and complete all required work. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Proposers must propose on the complete work scope. Proposers must not commence work until a contract is fully executed and a City Purchase Order is received. Proposals shall remain valid for ninety (90) calendar days after the closing time. If awarded, the contract must be executed within ten (10) days after presentation for signature. The proposer certifies compliance with all contract documents and that qualified personnel will be employed.
