Renovation of a multi-residential development in Asheboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Sealed proposals are requested for the furnishing of labor, material, and equipment for the modernization of Project NC 81-1. The scope of work includes renovations and modernization of the existing project. Work will include but is not limited to: removing existing kitchen cabinets and countertops at indicated units and providing new cabinets, countertops, and wall laminate backsplash; removing existing kitchen sinks, faucet sets, P-Traps, supplies, and shut-off valves and providing new stainless steel sinks, faucet sets, PVC P-Traps, supplies, and 1/4 turn shut-off valves; removing existing range hoods at all units receiving new cabinets, salvaging range hood-mounted fire extinguishers, and reinstalling them upon new range hoods; and all other work as indicated on the plans, in the Project Manual, and as required by codes and the authority having jurisdiction. Bidders must have proper licensing under state laws. For work disturbing lead-based paint in housing or child-occupied facilities built before 1978, Prime Contractor certification by the State of North Carolina is required, and certification documents must be provided. Bids must be accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check, or bid bond of at least five percent (5%) of the proposal amount. A performance bond and payment bond for 100% of the contract price, or acceptable alternatives, will be required. Payment will be on the basis of 90% of monthly estimates and final payment upon work completion and acceptance. Equal Employment Opportunity and minimum wage requirements apply. Economic opportunities must, to the greatest extent feasible, follow Section 3 requirements. Bids may be delivered in person, by mail, or uploaded electronically via Secure File Sharing to the Architect’s Sharefile by Citrix Account. Electronic and physical bids must be received by the specified bid date and time. Late bids will not be accepted. Emailed or faxed bids are not accepted.
