Sealed bids are requested for the Route 54 Sanitary Sewer Extension Project, Contract No. WB-1. The project consists of constructing approximately 1,520 linear feet of gravity sanitary sewer, 11 manholes, 13 lateral connections, one duplex sewage pumping station, 404 linear feet of force main, and one stream crossing, all located within easements secured by the owner over private property and Snaurytown Road right-of-way. The work includes all required surface restoration and appurtenances. Bidders must ensure all work adheres to prevailing minimum project wage rates as set by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Bids must be accompanied by a certified or bank check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to execute an agreement, and furnish performance and payment bonds each for 100% of the contract price, plus evidence of required insurance coverage. Only steel products produced in the United States, as defined by the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act, are permitted.
