Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lodi, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
For the following project, j.A.E.S.C. Concrete improvements Question Deadline 02/03/2026 at 1:00 PM PT All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed via email to the District to Aaron Stroud, astroud@lodiusd.net. Questions received less than SEVEN (7) calendar days prior to the date for opening bids may not be answered. The project consists of: See the attached map for exact locations of concrete replacement. All measurements have to be verified by the contractor prior to start of work. The contractor is responsible for all permit fees. The contractor is responsible for calling usa and having the site surveyed prior to Installation. Demolition of existing concrete walkways, driveways, curb ramps, ramps, and Associated infrastructure. The contractor is responsible for the removal and off haul of debris in compliance with Local waste disposal and environmental regulations. Installation of new ada compliant, concrete driveways with proper grading, jointing, And curing. Construction of new ada compliant curb ramps at intersections. Construction of a new ada path of travel ramp for entry to the property. Installation of detectable warning surfaces (truncated domes) where required. Coordination with existing sidewalks, street drainage, and utility infrastructure. Excavate and prepare subgrade per city engineering standards. Install 6'' concrete driveways with proper aggregate base, expansion joints and broom Finish for slip resistance. Installers are responsible for keeping site secure and safe with proper signage and Flagging The contractor is responsible for all traffic control needs. Clean area and complete final inspection To bid on this project, the bidder is required to possess one or more of the following state of california contractors' license(s): a, b The bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the contract. To bid on this project, the bidder is required to be registered as a public works contractor with the department of industrial relations pursuant to the labor code. All bids shall be on the form provided by the district. Each bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent contract documents, including, but not limited to, the instructions to bidders. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the district a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the lodi unified school district, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the bid form and proposal, as a guarantee that the bidder will, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the notice of award, enter into a contract with the district for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% performance bond and a 100% payment bond if it is awarded the contract for the work. The successful bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the district to ensure performance under the contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the public contract code Pursuant to public contract code section 20111.6, only prequalified bidders will be eligible to submit a bid for a public project involving a projected expenditure of $1 million or more using or planning to use state general fund or state school bond funds. Any bid submitted by a bidder who is not prequalified shall be non-responsive and returned unopened to the bidder. Moreover, any bid listing subcontractors holding c-4, c-7, c-10, c-16, c-20, c-34, c-36, c 38, c-42, c-43 or c-46 licenses for the performance of electrical, mechanical or plumbing components who have not been prequalified shall be deemed nonresponsive. If applicable or required by the district for projects utilizing funds from the state of california school facility program, as outlined in section 17076.11 of the education code, there is a mandate to achieve a participation goal for disabled veteran business enterprises ("Dvbe") of at least three percent (3%) annually of the overall dollar amount expended on state-funded projects. To fulfill this mandate by demonstrating a good faith effort, bidders must actively seek dvbe-certified subcontractors and suppliers prior to bid submission. For any state-funded project, the selected bidder must, upon contract award, certify compliance with dvbe participation goal procedures. The dvbe certification participation form, provided for this purpose, should not be submitted with the bid but is required with the execution of the contract. This requirement is contingent upon the specific funding and requirements of a project as determined by the district. The contractor and all subcontractors under the contractor shall pay all workers on all work performed pursuant to this contract not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work as determined by the director of the department of industrial relations, state of california, for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the district, pursuant to section 1770 et seq. Of the california labor code. Prevailing wage rates are also available from the district or on the internet at online. This project may be funded, in whole or in part, with federal funds. In instances where federal funding is utilized, the contractor and all subcontractors under the contractor are required to comply with the davis-bacon act, applicable reporting requirements, and any other relevant federal funding requirements. Should a conflict arise between state and federal requirements, the more stringent provision shall control to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. The district shall award the contract, if it awards it at all, to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on: a. The base bid amount. The district reserves the right to prequalify bidders for this project pursuant to public contract code section 20111.5, as deemed necessary by the district. When prequalification is applied, only prequalified bidders will be eligible to submit a bid for this project. Any bid submitted by a bidder who has not been prequalified shall be deemed nonresponsive and will not be considered. Pre-qualification is completed on the web at online. The board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the district awards the contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening.
