Purchase and install a new shade structure in accordance with PC #04-122375, including all associated construction, support foundations, and site work. Bids must be on the form provided, conform to all contract documents, and must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check for 10% of the total bid price. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit are required. The successful bidder must furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond and may be required to comply with an owner-controlled or wrap-up insurance program (OCIP) if provided. All pertinent instructions and requirements must be followed, including submission of specific certifications if applicable. Bidders may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure contract performance as allowed by law. Pre-qualification requirements: The District reserves the right to prequalify bidders. Only prequalified bidders are eligible if prequalification is applied, and for projects of $1 million or more using or planning to use state funds, prequalification is mandatory. Subcontractors with specified license types (C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, C-46) for electrical, mechanical, or plumbing components must also be prequalified. Pre-qualification is completed online. Bidders are also required to possess a State of California A and/or B contractor's license, be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations, and meet any OCIP-related requirements if applicable, including safety and insurance qualifications.
