Renovation of an educational facility in Lodi, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

Upgrade the existing fire alarm system from EST3 to EST4. Contractor shall verify all existing components during the mandatory job walk. Remove and properly dispose of obsolete equipment in accordance with local codes. Obtain DSA-approved drawings and secure final approval prior to installation. Fire alarm control panels with remote cabinet enclosures remain; replace CPUs, LCD displays, power supplies, fiber optic interfaces, and batteries at twelve (12) locations. Panels with visible user interfaces (Press box, Practice Gym, Building T) remain; replace CPUs, LCD displays, power supplies, fiber optic interfaces, and install new front doors, user interfaces, LCD microphones, and LED/switch modules as needed. Remove and replace the remote annunciator in the Admin Lobby and its back box. Verify all existing field devices (detectors, sensors, peripherals) are compatible with the EST4 system; any required modifications or replacements are the contractor's responsibility. Test and verify ten percent (10%) of all installed devices upon completion. Provide onsite training to staff on the use and maintenance of the new system. Deliver all manuals, documentation, and associated paperwork for newly installed equipment. Provide a two-year parts and labor warranty for all new equipment and installation work. The Bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California contractors license: A, B, and/or C-7/10. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. The Bidder is required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations. Only prequalified bidders will be eligible to submit a bid for this Project. Contractors can apply for pre-qualification via the district PQBids website. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is required. A bid bond of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price is required. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. The Contractor and all Subcontractors shall pay all workers not less than the prevailing wage rates. The Project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
