Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Sauk City, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The work includes the complete coating removal and recoating of all interior wet surfaces, the spot repair and overcoating of all exterior surfaces and dry interior surfaces, as well as minor structural modifications for an existing 300,000 gallon composite hydro pillar water storage reservoir. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after award. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the date of opening. Minimum wages are per Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates. The project anticipates use of Wisconsin DNR Safe Drinking Water Loan Program funding and encourages DBEs, MBEs, WBEs, and SBRAs to submit proposals. There is a combined minimum goal of 15% participation for MBE/WBE utilization and these requirements apply to both contractors and subcontractors. The Contractor must conform to the "Use of American Iron and Steel" provision of H.R. 3547 Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014, section 436, including all iron and steel products used in the project. Proposals may be denied if these requirements are not met. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. A municipality, in awarding prime contracts, and primary contractor, in awarding subcontracts, are required to make a good faith effort to achieve a combined minimum goal of 15% participation for MBE/WBE utilization in accordance with s.NR 162.09(3), s.NR 166.12(4), and s.NR 167.18(4) Wis. The work to be completed under these specifications includes furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, and labor necessary for the complete overcoating of all exterior surfaces, complete coating removal and replacement of the interior wet surfaces, partial coating removal and surface preparation of the dry interior surfaces of an existing 300,000-gallon composite hydro pillar water storage reservoir as specified herein. The work also includes ancillary modifications as specified herein. B. The tank was originally constructed in 1991 and is approximately 42 feet to the high-water level. The water tower is the only storage tank in the distribution system. C. The Base Bid work specifically includes the following. 1. Mobilizations, Bonds and Insurance 2. Interior Wet Surfaces - Full Removal and Replacement 3. Interior Dry Surfaces - Spot Repair and Overcoat 4. Interior Dry Condensate Surfaces - Full Removal and Replacement 5. Exterior Surfaces - Spot Repair and Complete Overcoat 6. Exterior Lettering 7. Remove and Replace Frost-Free Roof Vent 8. Replace Double Obstruction Light Fixture 9. Remove Cathodic Protection System 10. Replace Wet Interior Manway Gaskets 11. Modifications to the Access Tube Ledge 12. Install Chemical Injection Corporation 13. Remove and Replace Fall Protection Equipment 14. Miscellaneous Welding/Grinding 15. Remove and Replace Overflow Screen
