The purpose of this contract is to provide on-demand construction and improvements of parks and other County properties. The Contractor shall have a direct experience with both building (vertical) and site (horizontal) construction projects. The types and scopes of new construction work may include, but are not limited to: 1. New vertical construction such as restrooms, shades, and shelters 2. Underground utilities such as electric, drainage, water, and sewer 3. New athletic courts with surfacing 4. Paved parking lots and minor roads 5. Minor landscaping and irrigation 6. Site development and rehydration 7. Sidewalks and trails 8. Site lighting SCOPE SUMMARY A. Broward County Parks and Recreation Division manages approximately 50 regional parks and nature centers, neighborhood parks, natural areas, in addition to office buildings not within a park. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals in a competent and professional manner, and in compliance with all applicable building, life-safety, technical and related codes, including, but not limited to, Florida Building Code (FBC) High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) requirements. B. The purpose of this contract is to provide on-demand construction and improvements of parks and other County properties. Site lighting Broward County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any technicality in the bid documents, and to accept the bid which best serves the interest of the County. This solicitation is for an open-end contract, and the scope includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, services, and incidentals necessary for the construction, improvement, and renovation of County parks and other County properties.
