Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Orange, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The project is for the rehabilitation of the Town of Orange Water Treatment Plant filter system. The scope of work includes replacing aged granular filter media, repairing or retrofitting underdrains, and making targeted improvements to the structural and process systems associated with the filtration units. Additionally, the selected contractor must perform chlorination disinfection of each filter unit and is responsible for ensuring bacteriological testing of the filters, including sampling, transport, and ensuring that test results meet or exceed Virginia Department of Health – Office of Drinking Water standards once the units are renovated and approved for service. Competing proposals must provide the information required for unsolicited proposals in Appendix B of the Town’s PPEA Guidelines and must be submitted in the specified format, including one original, ten copies, and one electronic copy on a flash drive, by the stated deadline.
