Provide all materials and labor for the comprehensive renovation of the gymnasium and commons areas, including approximately 13,200 S.F. of wood gym floor replacement, telescoping bleacher systems replacement, installation of new athletic equipment, approximately 12,500 S.F. of resilient flooring replacement, wood stage floor refinishing, wood framed construction, gypsum board assemblies, metal railings, selected door and hardware replacement, rolling door replacement, interior painting, signage and wall graphics. MEP work is commensurate to the project scope. Each Bidder must deposit with their bid a certified check, cashier's check, bank draft, or bid bond payable to the Owner, in an amount not less than 5% of their Base Bid, as security that they will, within ten days after notification of award, execute the contract and furnish performance and payment bonds in the prescribed form. The awarded firm shall be required to furnish bonds covering the faithful performance of the contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder in the amount of 100% of the contract sum for performance and 100% of the contract sum for payment. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days following the time of bid opening. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the work. All bids shall be enclosed in sealed opaque envelopes with the name and address of the bidder in the upper left hand corner of the envelope, and marked and addressed as specified. Bids not received at the appointed time or place are subject to rejection without consideration. Facsimile and electronic bids will not be accepted. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity, and to award a contract for any part of the work or for the project as a whole as determined to be in the Owner's best interest.
