The Alaska Railroad Corporation is soliciting bids to provide smooth-wall steel pipe culvert as specified. Bidders must submit sealed bids on the provided bid forms, mailed or delivered to the specified address. Bids submitted by email or fax are considered non-responsive. The bid envelope must be clearly marked with the bid number. Bids must be complete, in U.S. dollars, and all spaces on the Cost Schedule must be filled in. Only complete bids will be considered. Any additional bidder terms must include a disclaimer giving precedence to the terms in the Invitation to Bid if conflicts occur. Additional information may be included in the sealed envelope with the bid. The project may be funded by the Federal Transit Administration, and the contract will incorporate required federal provisions. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate, although no specific DBE goals are set. The Alaska Railroad values environmental stewardship and considers Green Star membership a positive business attribute.
