The City of Claremont seeks sealed proposals from qualified contractors to provide sidewalk rehabilitation services. The work consists of minor concrete repair at identified locations in the City. The awarded contractor is responsible for providing all materials, labor, equipment, and temporary traffic control necessary to remove and replace damaged public concrete, including sidewalks, walkways, curbs and gutters, and drive approaches. The City has identified locations for completion, including over 20,000 square feet of sidewalk, 5,000 linear feet of curb and gutter, and over 5,000 square feet of drive approaches. The City reserves the right to adjust the quantities or work assigned under the contract at the same unit price stated in the bid form. Each bidder must be a licensed contractor with an A or C-8 classification and must self-perform 100% of the work. Bids must be submitted on the City's Bid Forms and accompanied by appropriate bid security. Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the bid will be required upon award. This project is subject to all applicable labor compliance requirements and monitoring by the Department of Industrial Relations. It is the Bidder's responsibility to account for all costs related to compliance in their bid. The City will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder from the base bid and reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive irregularities or informalities in the bidding process. Such submission, if any, must be sent to the Community Services Department by emailing jswan@claremontca.gov and shall be received no later than February 2, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. for interpretation or correction from the City Bids shall include the costs for all labor, materials, tools and equipment, including temporary traffic control, necessary to remove and replace damaged public concrete sidewalk. Removal and replacement of damaged public and private concrete flat work and other types of masonry items. The work covered by this Contract would be grinding, 6" drive approaches, 4" P.C.C. sidewalk, 4" P.C.C. with some type of special finish or veneer, split face rock and cap curb, curb and gutter, regular curb, and removal and replacement of asphalt. There is approximately 20,000 sq. ft. of sidewalk, 5,000 linear ft of curb and gutter, and 5,000 sq. ft. of drive approach covered by this agreement. The City has compiled a list of locations throughout the City. The City will assign additional locations as necessary.
