Renovation of a medical facility in Opelousas, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Sealed bids from Louisiana-licensed contractors are requested for the relocation of Wellsmart Health of Opelousas Rural Health Clinic at 627 E. Prudhomme St., Opelousas, LA 70570. Bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid plus all additive alternates, and must be in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check, written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana and payable to Opelousas General Trust Authority & Opelousas General Health Systems. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the project site. All bidders are required to have a representative attend for their bid to be accepted. Performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount will be required from the successful bidder. The project is classified as "Building Construction" and requires bidders to be currently licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2164. Performance time is 150 calendar days, with liquidated damages of $300.00 per day for late completion. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids. Contractors may obtain plans and specifications electronically or in print, with refundable deposits for returned documents in good condition. Bids may be submitted electronically or by mail/hand delivery, with original documents required within 48 hours of bid opening if bidding electronically.
