The Engineer's estimated range for this project is approximately $390,000 to $430,000. The project consists of installing paint striping over existing lane markings, rechannelization, and installing replacement raised pavement markings on various City of Kent streets, all in accordance with Kent Special Provisions and the 2025 WSDOT Standard Specifications. Bids must be clearly marked with the project name on the outside of the envelope, addressed to the City Clerk at 220 4th Avenue South, Kent, WA 98032-5895. Only sealed bids will be accepted. No facsimiles or electronic submittals will be considered. Each bid shall be in accordance with the plans, specifications, and other contract documents on file in the office of the City Engineer, City of Kent, Washington. Plans and specifications can also be downloaded at no charge at the provided website. A cashier's check, cash, or surety bond in the amount of 5% of the bid must be included with the bid. The City of Kent reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities, and will determine which bid is the most responsive, satisfactory, and responsible. Bidders must submit with their initial bid a signed statement regarding previous work subject to the President's Executive Order No. 11246. Disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty days after the day of bid opening.
