Renovation of a multi-residential development in Kent, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

The Fire Alarm System for this project shall be a Potter Electric brand system. KCHA will not allow any substitutions for this specified Fire Alarm equipment. Read the accompanying documents, which include the Harrison House Fire Alarm System Replacement Assessment Report, One-line Diagram Drawings, Floor Plan Drawings, and Specifications. These specifications and the fire alarm drawings are the basis for the design. The main control panel of the current fire alarm system is a Honeywell Silent Knight 6820XL located in the main entry on the first floor. The new Potter Fire Alarm Control panel will be relocated to the Electrical Room or an approved location, and a new remote annunciator will take its place in the entry. A new remote annunciator will also be installed in the maintenance shop on the first floor, replacing the existing one. The current annunciator is mounted on top of the existing one. Both shall be demo'd, drywall patched and cut out to receive a new annunciator. All fire alarm control units shall be located in the first-floor riser room or an approved location by the Fire Marshal. The fire alarm contractor must provide the detection and notification systems to replace the fire alarm system (wiring, devices, panel). The existing system will remain operational until the new system is installed, tested, and approved by the authority having jurisdiction. Once the new system is inspected and approved, the existing system, including old wiring and conduit, shall be demolished.
