Electronic bids will be received for Project DNR-250095, Old Woman Creek Natural Shoreline, Huron, Erie County, Ohio. Bidders must register through the State's electronic bidding service and enable a digital ID to submit bids. Requests for substitutions for specified products, equipment, or services must be submitted to the Architect/Engineer no later than 10 days prior to bid opening and may be accepted only by written Addendum. Bids must comply with the "State of Ohio Standard Requirements for Public Facility Construction" as included in the contract documents. Prevailing Wage rates and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements are applicable. The project is subject to the State of Ohio's Encouraging Diversity, Growth, and Equity (EDGE) Business Development Program, with a 5.0 percent EDGE Participation Goal. The bidder must indicate service locations per Executive Order 2019-12D and affirm compliance with Executive Order 2022-02D. Domestic steel use requirements per Ohio Revised Code Section 153.011 apply. Bidders are encouraged to be enrolled in a Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (SUPR) Program. The contractor is responsible for project scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and providing other services identified in the contract documents. The project involves the construction of nature-based shoreline improvements along approximately 250 feet of shore at the Old Woman Creek State Nature Preserve. The nature-based shoreline improvements include the placement of 2080 cubic yards of new sand for beach nourishment. Root wads will be installed to help stabilize the beach fill. Additional logs will be placed along the shoreline lakeward of the beach fill as temporary protection while beach vegetation is established.
