Sealed proposals are requested from General Contractors for renovations to Jefferson Parkway Elementary School, located at 154 Millard Farmer Industrial Blvd, Newnan, GA 30263. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting is required for all entities wishing to submit a proposal. Proposals must include the completed Competitive Sealed Proposal Form, signed Bid Form, Bid Bond, "Contractor Affidavit and Agreement" for compliance with O.C.G.A. 13-10-91 (Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act), and affidavits for compliance with O.C.G.A. 50-36-1 (Verification of Lawful Presence within the United States using the SAVE program). A bid bond amounting to five percent of the base bid is required as the only acceptable form of bid security, with no personal checks or other forms accepted. Performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract sum are required prior to construction commencement, and must be provided by sureties licensed in Georgia and listed on the Federal Register. The owner reserves the right to waive technicalities and irregularities and to reject any or all proposals. All questions regarding contract documents must be submitted in writing to the Architect, with replies issued as addenda to all proposers of record. No proposal may be withdrawn for thirty (30) days after submission.
