The project consists of lawn maintenance services for LUS Electric Generating Stations. The services to be provided by the Contractor include mechanical vegetation control, herbicide application, and miscellaneous site undergrowth cleanup. These tasks include, but are not limited to, mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, herbicide spraying, and debris removal. Site cleanup and removal of clippings are required to ensure a neat and clean appearance. Bidders may submit their bids electronically or at the office of the Purchasing Division. Bids must be signed in accordance with requirements, and a Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority authorizing the signer must be submitted. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid plus additive alternates. Bid bonds must be issued by an approved surety or insurance company licensed to do business in Louisiana. Bids must be submitted on the provided bid form, and the successful bidder is required to execute performance and labor and material payment bonds in the full amount of the contract. Contractors must hold the appropriate licenses for the classification of LANDSCAPING, GRADING, AND BEAUTIFICATION and HERBICIDE LICENSE. The Lafayette Consolidated Government encourages the participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in all contracts or procurements.
