New construction of a mixed-use development in Lafayette, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a warehouse / distribution facility.

The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, and construction of the BOP Electrical Building/Control Room, Warehouse/Maintenance Shop, Administration Building, and Mechanical Equipment Room as indicated on the drawings and specified in the Contract Documents. The contractor's scope of work is described as anchor bolts up, with building foundations and building slabs being designed, furnished, and installed by others. Key scopes of work include architectural and structural support steel, masonry and above-grade concrete, building plumbing and piping, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), buildings electrical systems, lighting systems, and data systems, and must include all labor, equipment, materials, handling, permitting, and testing in accordance with the Contract Drawings and Specifications. All work must be completed within nine hundred seven (907) calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. Instructions to bidders include: - Sealed bids must be submitted electronically or at the specified office by the deadline. - Only a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check will be accepted as bid security, and electronic bids must include copies of both the front and back of the check or bid bond. - Bidders must be registered online as potential contractors. - Bidders submitting electronically must provide all documents in one combined PDF file with bookmarks and one hard copy within forty-eight (48) hours from bid opening. - Bids submitted by mail must include one hard copy and an electronic copy on a USB flash drive. - Documents believed to be proprietary or trade secret must be clearly marked and include a cover sheet stating such. - Bids must be signed with a Corporate Resolution or written authority submitted with the bid; failure to do so will result in rejection. - Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond payable to the Lafayette Consolidated Government in the amount of five percent (5%) of all additive line items of the base bid. - Successful bidders will be required to execute performance and labor and material payment bonds in the full amount of the contract. - Bids will be evaluated based on the lowest responsible and responsive bid submitted in compliance with the bid documents. - The Lafayette Consolidated Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
