Job no- 2003-322 The work to be accomplished consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, personnel, plus perform all the necessary labor to construct a complete and functioning project as follows: This project will consist of Contractor installing an additional 2500 hp High Service Pump in the existing High Service Pump Station Building and installing a High Service Pump Variable Speed Drive and Control Panel in the existing Electrical Building. This project includes installing New Pump 48" diameter Discharge Piping and Valves, 24" diameter Pump Ball Check Valve, wiring and conduit for providing power and instrumentation SCADA Controls. The Authority purchased: (1) the 2500 hp High Service Vertical Turbine Pump and Variable Speed Control Panel; and (2) the 24" diameter GA Industries Flange Pump Check Ball Valve and Control Panel. Under this project the Contractor shall install the 2500 hp Vertical Turbine Pump in the existing vacant space in the High Service Pump Station for a future pump. Approved Authority-purchased equipment Shop Drawings are included in these specifications in Division 18. All bids must be accompanied by adequate bid security (certified check, bid bond, or irrevocable letter of credit) drawn in favor of the Authority and in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, which shall be subject to forfeiture as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to promptly enter into the proposed contract for performance of the Project with the Authority.
