Please see the Invitation to Bid regarding how to obtain project documents. The project consists of renovations at Brentwood, North Side, and Northcrest. Each bid proposal must include all labor, material, and services necessary to complete the projects in strict accordance with the drawings and specifications as prepared and on file. Bids shall be received from a single prime contractor. Instructions to bidders include: - Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, made payable to Fort Wayne Community Schools. - Bids may not be modified, withdrawn, or canceled by the bidder for sixty (60) days following the designated time and date for receipt of bids without the consent of Fort Wayne Community Schools. - The right is reserved to reject any and all bids or waive any or all informalities, irregularities, and/or inconsistencies in, or with respect to, any or all bids. - The right is reserved to assign any portion of any bid and/or contract to any non-profit building corporation controlled by Fort Wayne Community Schools without the consent of any other party. - All contracts are conditioned upon and subject to obtaining sufficient financing or funds, and may be terminated without penalty or liability if funds are determined insufficient. - Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount are required from the successful bidder within ten (10) days after contract execution, and must remain in effect for twelve (12) months after the date of Substantial Completion.
