Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.
2025/2026 Concrete Pavement Improvements No. 3 The general nature of the work is complete street construction including pavement removal, excavation, subbase, 7" PCC pavement, sidewalks, and driveway pavement. Street reconstruction work consists of infill PCC (leaving the curb and gutters, Lincoln Way to West St.), and complete PCC reconstruction (West St. to Oakland St). The project also includes removal and replacement of storm and sanitary structures, sanitary sewer point repairs, removal and placement of new RCP storm sewer, and miscellaneous related work and appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents. Bids shall be submitted on the proposal form furnished, in a sealed and plainly marked envelope. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security as defined by Section 26.8 of the Code of Iowa and as specified in the instructions to bidders. Only documents obtained from the City of Ames Public Works Department are authorized and should be used for bidding. Stage 1 and Stage 2 must be completed by July 31st, 2026. Stages 3 through 6 must be completed by July 30th, 2027.
