Electronic bids are requested for construction involving the replacement of roof sections A, B, C, D, G, J, and I at the College of Design. The work includes removing and disposing of the existing roof system down to the concrete or metal roof deck as applicable, cleaning and preparing the deck, and installing a new roof system. For sections A, B, C, and D, the work includes a fully adhered 90 mil EPDM roof membrane over adhered coverboard, taper insulation, rigid insulation, vapor barrier, and a mechanically fastened prime thermal board over a concrete deck. For sections G, J, and I, the new roof system includes a fully adhered 90 mil EPDM roof membrane over adhered high-density coverboard, taper insulation, rigid insulation, vapor barrier, and a mechanically fastened prime thermal board over a metal deck. Additionally, barrel vault work includes removal and replacement of sealant along the metal frame, cleaning, priming of the metal frame and acrylic surfaces, and installation of a preformed silicone extrusion over the metal frame. All bidders must submit bids electronically using the provided documents, including bid security as specified. Successful bidders must provide a Performance and Payment Bond for 100% of the contract sum within ten days of award. No bid may be withdrawn for 45 days after opening. There is a participation goal of 10% for certified Targeted Small Businesses. The Iowa Board of Regents reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and accept the bid in the best interest of the Owner. Project Base Bid.
