Site work for a water / sewer project in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work is to provide services for the removal and replacement of a backflow device and related hardware at the NADC Pump Station, Ames, IA. All work shall be in accordance with the specifications available on AmesBids or on file in the Purchasing office of Ames, Iowa, which are made a part of the bid. Bids must be submitted using the Bid Form provided in AmesBids. All bids received after the deadline will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Bidders are responsible for ensuring timely delivery of their bid. Only bid documents obtained from the City of Ames Purchasing Division on AmesBids are considered complete. The contractor shall not include sales or use taxes in the bid; building materials incorporated into the project may be purchased tax-free under Iowa law. If the accepted bid exceeds $25,000, the contractor is required to provide a performance and payment bond equal to the total bid amount. Each successful bidder must furnish a corporate surety bond for 100 percent of the contract price, guaranteeing faithful performance, prompt payment for material and labor, protecting the City from claims and damages, and guaranteeing the maintenance of the work in good repair for one year after completion and acceptance by the City. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and enter into contracts as it deems to be in its best interest. Question Deadline 02/17/2026 at 5:00 PM CT
