COOLING TOWER 2 & 3 REPAIRS The contractor shall provide a price for each tower to perform the repairs listed below: Tower #2 – - Replace the existing cooling tower fan, reusing the existing shaft, motor, belt, etc. - Reinstall the existing vibration sensor. - Start up and balance the tower and recalibrate the vibration sensor. Tower #3 – - Replace the existing cooling tower fan/motor assembly and support steel. - Replace the existing basin heater(s) and basin heater controller(s). - Reinstall the existing vibration sensor. - Start up and balance the tower and recalibrate the vibration sensor. Bidders shall state whether the services proposed strictly meet these specifications and, if not, list each variation. Forms titled “Affidavit for Filing with Competitive Bid,” “Business Relationships Affidavit,” “Certification of Nondiscrimination in Employment,” and “Affidavit of Compliance” must be signed, notarized, and returned with the bid, or the bid will not be accepted. Each bid over $50,000 must include a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid as a guarantee. Failure to enter into a contract if awarded will result in payment to the Authority in the sum of five percent (5%) of the bid as liquidated damages. The Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive informalities or minor irregularities in any bid.
