Sealed bids will be received for aggregate road materials, bituminous road materials, and concrete for use by the Mercer County Engineer and Mercer County Townships, including all incidental work according to provided specifications. Bidders must submit their bids to the Clerk of the Board of Mercer County Commissioners by the stated deadline. Bids for asphalt emulsion must include a bid bond or certified check for 5% of the bid. The contracts are awarded on a unit price basis for a specified term, and the aggregate is to be furnished to county/township-owned trucks F.O.B. the bidder’s plant. The County may sample and test materials at any time, with testing expenses covered by the County. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities as advantageous to the County. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after opening, except as provided by law. Specifications and bid forms are available from the Mercer County Engineer.
