The City of Idaho Falls is soliciting sealed bids for the construction, electrical installation, and commissioning of publicly accessible electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure at multiple locations. The project is funded in part by a federal Charging and Fueling Infrastructure (CFI) grant. The work is divided into three (3) bid packages (A, B, and C) and includes site civil improvements, electrical infrastructure, and installation of manufacturer-specified EV charging equipment. Certain bid packages include non-grant-eligible work, which is clearly identified and separated in the plans and bid schedule to ensure compliance with federal funding requirements. Bid Package A includes sidewalk removal and replacement at increased width and installation of four (4) Kempower satellite chargers and one (1) Kempower triple power cabinet, with associated electrical work. o Bid Package B includes parking lot improvements and EV charging installation consisting of Kempower and Blink charging equipment and associated electrical infrastructure, along with identified non-grant-eligible work. Non-grant eligible costs will need to be lined out separately from all grant related expenditures on all invoices, quotes, or bids. This work is clearly outlined in the plan set provided by Keller Associates for bid package B. o Bid Package C includes construction of new parking lots and EV charging infrastructure at two sites, including installation of Blink and Kempower charging equipment and associated electrical work.
