Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Mobilization consists of the preparatory work and operations, including moving personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to the Project Limits. It also includes all other work performed and costs incurred before beginning work on various Items in the Contract. Mobilization will be paid as per the table below to be inclusive for the total of the contract and not per callout or site. No separate payment will be made for any cost incurred for MOBILIZATION for each callout. Include the costs for separate mobilizations in the various items scheduled in the Proposal. The bid price for MOBILIZATION must be lesser or equal to 5% of the total bid price. If the bid price for Mobilization is above 5% of the total bid price of the contract, the Department will pay 5% of the total bid price of the contract. Minority 5.8% Female 6.9% Maintenance Pier Protection Contract 2024-1, Eighteen (18) Bridges; Routes US 130, CR-531, I287, & I-78, Middlesex, Essex, Union, Hunterdon, Somerset & Morris Counties Estimated Range between $2,500,001 to $5,000,000 Contractors Prequalified in one of these Work Types are eligible to bid this project: 4, 4b or 5 The Principal Items of Work Consist of: Quantity Unit Description 4,348 Lf Beam Guide Rail 12 U Tangent Guiderail Terminal 1,748 Lf Removal of Beam Guiderail 242 Lf 24" X 41" Concrete Barrier Curb 3,001 Lf 9" X 16" Concrete Vertical Curb 1,576 Lf 9" X 14" Concrete Vertical Curb 1,590 Lf 15" X 51" F Shape Concrete Barrier Curb 3,305 Sy Concrete Sidewalk 4" Thick 1,051 Sy Concrete Island 4" Thick Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.35(d), if the Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD Commissioner) makes an initial determination that an employer has violated the provisions of P.L.1963, c.150 (C.34:11-56.25 et seq.) by paying wages at rates less than the rates applicable under that act, the LWD Commissioner may immediately issue a stop-work order to cease all business operations at every site where the violation has occurred, and may assess a civil penalty of $5,000 per day against the employer for each day it conducts business operations in violation of the stop-work order. If the stop-work order is issued against a subcontractor, the general contractor may terminate that subcontractor from the project in accordance with N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.35(d) Minimum wage rates for this project shall be as specified in the "Prevailing Wage Determination of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development" on file with this Department. The attention of bidders is directed to the provisions covering subletting or assigning the contract to Section 108-Prosecution and Completion of the New Jersey Department of Transportation Standard Specifications. The entire work is to be completed on or before the Estimated Completion Date Stated Above DOT reserves its right to reject any or all bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 27:7-30 and N.J.S.A. 27:7-33.
