Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; bridge / tunnel; and bridge / tunnel.

Includes a complete road closure, then removal of the existing single span bridge (099-3257) and excavation for structure. Construction includes: furnish and install steel H-piling for spread footings, cast-in-place concrete bridge abutments, precast prestressed concrete beams (IL36N), and cast-in-place concrete bridge deck with concrete parapet walls. Roadway improvements include cast-in-place concrete wing walls (some with H-piling and spread footing), and reshaping and armoring the channel with rip rap. Aggregate Base course, Hot-Mix Asphalt binder, Hot-Mix Asphalt surface, Bituminous Cover and Seal Coat, furnishing and installing guardrail end sections, and other items to complete the project. The contracts consists the existing bridge removal, constructing a new single-span concrete beam bridge, new full depth hot-mix asphalt pavement approaching the bridge, reconstruction of aggregate approach chip & seal north of the bridge, aggregate shoulders, guardrail, riprap, and other incidental items of work.
