Separate sealed bids are requested for the purchase of various chemicals for the Water Pumping Plant and the Water Reclamation Facility. Each bid must include the full name of all interested persons or companies and be accompanied by a bid guaranty meeting the requirements of Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code: either a certified or cashier’s check for 10% of the total bid price, or a bid guaranty with surety acceptable to the City in the full amount of the bid. Performance Bond is required for successful bidders. All bidders must comply with Chapter 167 of the Elyria Codified Ordinances, and must be pre-certified or submit an acceptable Affirmative Action Plan. The Elyria Equal Opportunity Clause must be completed and signed. The City reserves the right to waive technicalities or reject any or all bids, and to accept any bid or combination of alternatives deemed most favorable.
