As of May 19, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on May 22, 2026. The Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA) is requesting bids to retrofit the current Central Maintenance Facility (CMF) train wash to bring it back into operational condition. See Attachment A - Scope of Work The original train wash facility was built in 1992 by Sherman Supersonic Industries Corp. (SSI), who is no longer in business. Updates to the original train wash facility were completed in 2012, but several sub-systems are not operational.
