Sealed bids are requested for the maintenance of ballfields and other sites. Bidders must use the prepared Proposal Form. Each proposal must be in a sealed envelope, addressed and marked with the bidder's name, address, and contract being bid. A mandatory Pre-Bid Walk Thru must be attended. Bidders must call to schedule an appointment for the walk thru. Bids received after the deadline will not be accepted. Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee (certified check, bid bond, or cashier's check) in the amount of 10% of the total bid, not exceeding $20,000, payable to the Township, along with a Consent of Surety for a bond of 100% of the contract price. Unsuccessful bidders' guarantees will be returned after the contract is awarded. Proposals must be clear, without alterations that would create doubt. Ensure the Proposal is signed by an authorized person and is responsive as per the "Information to Bidders." Instructions must be followed exactly or the bid may be declared non-responsive. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids or accept bids as it deems in its best interests, including waiving any informality. The contract may be awarded based on the base bid and any combination of alternate bids. Bidders must comply with New Jersey Business Registration, affirmative action, and corporation ownership statement requirements.
