Renovation of a swimming pool in Pawnee City, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 5,250-square-foot swimming pool.

The City seeks a resurfacing solution for the municipal swimming pool located at 425 14th St, Pawnee City, NE 68420, prioritizing cost effectiveness, longevity/service life, and minimal long-term maintenance requirements. The selected contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to resurface the existing municipal swimming pool. General requirements include draining and preparing the existing pool, removing any deteriorating or failing surface materials, repairing cracks, voids, and surface defects, applying a new pool surface finish, cleaning, refilling, and preparing the pool for operation. The pool is outdoors, measures 105 feet by 50 feet with a depth range of 3 feet to 10 feet, and has an existing Eco-Finish surface. The finish must be uniform in color and finish, smooth, non-abrasive, suitable for public use, and require minimal maintenance. The contractor is also responsible for jobsite cleanup, protecting existing tile, drains, fittings, and appurtenances, and restoring any surrounding deck areas disturbed by construction. Bidders are encouraged to propose up to three resurfacing options, but providing fewer than three, including one, will not be deemed non-responsive if all other requirements are met. Each option must represent a complete resurfacing system suitable for a public municipal pool. For each option, bidders must include a description of the finish product, lump sum installed cost, estimated service life, warranty terms, maintenance requirements, known advantages and limitations, and manufacturer certification or installer qualifications if applicable. Bidders should recommend the option they believe best meets the objectives and provide justification. Evaluation will be based on cost effectiveness, longevity, durability, and maintenance needs, as well as contractor qualifications and experience. The contractor must provide proof of insurance, comply with all local and state laws, safety and environmental requirements, equal opportunity and non-discrimination provisions, and be eligible under SAM.gov. A minimum two-year warranty is required covering workmanship and materials related to the pool surface. Payment will be made upon satisfactory completion and acceptance of work.
