Site work for a water / sewer project in Moorestown, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in the Specifications and shown on the Plans for the construction of Main Street Water Main Replacement - Phase 3 in the Township of Moorestown, New Jersey, including but not limited to new water main installation, existing water main abandonment, all necessary connections and service line replacements, and all restorations. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked with the project name and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified or Cashier's Check in the amount not less than 10% of the amount bid, but not exceeding $20,000, and an executed consent from an approved surety company agreeing to furnish the required Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bond upon the award of contract. All bids must be submitted on the prescribed bid forms, providing one original and one copy of the bid package. The signed Proposal forms and bid security must be delivered to the designated location on or before the stated hour. The accepted bidder must sign the contract within ten days after the Notice of Award or forfeit bid security. Bid securities will be returned as outlined. Bidders are required to comply with all applicable Affirmative Action, Business Registration, and Public Works Contractor Registration Act requirements. If the lowest bid is 10 percent or more lower than the next lowest bid, the contractor must certify that prevailing wage rates will be paid. The right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals, in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders as deemed most advantageous and to waive informalities as permitted by law. Drawings, Specifications, and Contract Documents, prepared by Pennoni Associates, Township Engineer, for the proposed work may be inspected at the Office of the Municipal Clerk, Town Hall, 111 West Second Street, Moorestown, New Jersey 08057-2480 (Telephone No. 856-235-0912, Ext. 3015) during normal business hours. The work for this project consists of the following items: BASE BID 1. Test pit two (2) weeks ahead of mobilization to locate gas services, water services, and sanitary sewer laterals. 2. Obtain required permitting from County. These include County Road Opening Permit. 3. Excavating or Milling the existing cartway, grading and compacting. 4. Removal of Trolly Tacks as shown on the plans and where directed. 5. Abandon in place existing Water Main as shown on plans and where directed. 6. Install or replace existing fire hydrants as shown on the plans and where directed. 7. Replacing unmarked service connections where directed. 8. Installation of 12" CLDIP Water Main as shown on plans and where directed. 9. Reconnect existing services to new water main. 10. Restoration of trench in roadway per project details and complete required compaction testing. 11. Restoring disturbed vegetated/lawn areas. As a minimum, all lawns shall be restored with topsoil, fertilizer, seed, and mulch. Other materials shall be restored in-kind. 12. Providing all necessary traffic directors and traffic control in accordance with the MUTCD. Moorestown Police Department must be contacted for any closure.
