Written sealed bids are accepted for removal of hay from the City Lake grounds, excluding the emergency spillway, dam, and Madison Gun Club area. Bales must be removed from the premises within 45 days from the first day of baling or the City may remove and sell them. The bidder must burn the area completely every three years, excluding designated areas. Full payment is required within five days from the first day of baling. The risk of loss for the hay is the buyer’s responsibility. The bidder must hold the City free from liability related to baling and removal of bales and exercise caution, as the grounds are open to the public. Non-compliance may result in non-renewal or non-award in the future.
