(TAFCO 8-24-F-TPR or Approved Equivalent) Benton Area School District is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors to furnish and install one (1) new walk-in freezer system to replace the existing unit at the Benton Area High School. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, freight, rigging, permits, and incidentals required to remove and replace the existing walk-in freezer with a new walk-in freezer system, including: 1. Field verification of existing conditions, access paths, door swings, ceiling height, electrical service, and refrigeration routing. 2. Demolition / removal of existing walk-in freezer components as required (panels, door, refrigeration equipment, accessories) and legal disposal. 3. Furnish and install a new walk-in freezer system meeting the minimum requirements in Section 4. 4. Electrical connection to existing 460V, 3-phase service (and all required disconnects/controls per code). 5. Refrigeration system installation (remote or self-contained) is required to meet performance and site conditions, including all piping, condensate, hangers, penetrations, roof curbs/flashing (if needed), and start-up. 6. Commissioning, start-up, testing, owner training, and turnover documentation. 7. Warranty per Section 8. 2. Procurement and Compliance Requirements (PA Public School Bidding) This procurement shall comply with all applicable federal and Pennsylvania laws, regulations, and District policies, including but not limited to: Pennsylvania Public School Code competitive procurement requirements and District purchasing policies. Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act (commonly referenced as the "PA Steel Act"): where applicable, steel products used or supplied under this contract shall comply with Pennsylvania requirements for steel products used in public works. Contractor shall provide required certifications. Prevailing Wage / Davis-Bacon: o Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act requirements apply when triggered by project type and cost thresholds. Federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts apply if federal funds are used and Davis-Bacon is a condition of funding. If applicable, the contractor shall pay not less than the required wage rates and comply with all certified payroll/reporting requirements. Equal Employment / Nondiscrimination and all applicable labor and employment laws. All applicable buildings, electrical, mechanical, and fire codes, including UCC requirements and any local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ). OSHA safety regulations and site safety requirements.
