The work includes the reconstruction of Ontario Street, which consists of approximately 850 linear feet of new and relay sanitary sewer (8-inch) and associated appurtenances; 1,600 linear feet of new and relay storm sewer (8-inch to 30-inch) and associated appurtenances; 1,200 linear feet of relay water main (8-inch) and associated appurtenances; new storm lateral installation (6-inch), relay sanitary sewer laterals (4-inch and 6-inch) and relay water services (1-inch); 1,650 tons of asphaltic concrete pavement; 2,650 cubic yards of crushed aggregate base course of salvaged pulverized asphaltic concrete pavement; 3,900 cubic yards of unclassified excavation; 850 square yards of pulverize asphaltic concrete pavement and aggregate; 3,750 linear feet of slip form curb and gutter; concrete pavement, sidewalk, and driveway replacement; and restoration. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond equal to five percent of the bid as a guarantee that, if accepted, the bidder will execute a contract and furnish a contract bond. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the bid bond as liquidated damages. Bidders must also pre-qualify by submitting proof of responsibility on forms provided by the Director of Public Works, to be filed by the specified deadline. The City of De Pere reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and accept the proposal most favorable to the City.
